EARLY TEEN WEEK

This is NEW!  Beginning in Summer of 2025, MCC is offering Early Teen Week for rising 9th and 10th graders. Rising 9th graders will have the option of attending either Middle School Week or Early Teen Week.   For Rising 10th graders, Early Teen Week will be the only week available.  Please make a note of this grade change and camp week addition. Mark your calendar and plan to attend!

We are so excited to now offer Early Teen Week for the rising 9th and 10th grade student!

EARLY TEEN WEEK:

New in 2025, MCC is offering a program geared specifically for the rising 9th and 10th graders!  Early Teen Week will combine some of the best things from MCC’s Middle School Program and the older Teen Week.  Campers will get to build their own Skill Tract, by choosing a different skill class each day. On Wednesday, campers will get to go on a ½ day Expedition only offered to our Early Teen Week students. Camp starts on Monday morning and ends on Saturday Morning in this 6-day, 5-night program.  Participants will also have the opportunity for positive, co-ed interaction.  Cabin groups will be paired with Brother or Sister cabins to compete for Team of the Week. We are confident that our co-ed, residential, Early Teen Week will train campers how to live like Christ in their communities and encourage them in their faith as they face the year ahead.

EARLY TEEN WEEK 1/2 Day Expedition:

Campers will choose between three exciting and new trips.
– The first option is a tubing trip on the New River in Boone, NC. New River Tubing is the perfect way to relax on a hot summer afternoon.
– A second option is kayaking on the same section of the New River in Boone. The New River contains beautiful Appalachian river gorge scenery.  This is a very gentle section of the New River, with clear waters that practically beg you to jump in to cool off in the summertime.
– The third option is a Hike at Hanging Rock State Park in Danbury, NC located in Stokes County, just 30 miles north of Winston-Salem. Trails lead to picturesque mountain views, rock outcrops, waterfalls, and even a mountain cave.

The Hiking option will not carry an additional fee.  The New River tubing trip is an additional fee of $25. The New River Kayaking is an additional $35. (single or double kayak available).  More details on this are available in the registration process. (Those signing up for tubing or kayaking should be prepared to get wet).

Camp Store: MCC’s store will be open during at different times throughout the camp week as well as at drop off and pick up.

OVERNIGHT CAMP DETAILS will be available as time nears with more information concerning what to bring, dress code, camper/parent communication, online camp bank, online photo gallery, lost and found, and other policies.
