EARLY TEEN WEEK
This is NEW! Beginning in Summer of 2025, MCC will be adding Early Teen Week for rising 9th and 10th graders. Rising 9th graders will have the option of attending either Middle School Week or this Early Teen Week. This will be the ONLY week open for rising 10th graders, so please make a note of this grade change and camp week addition. Mark your calendar and plan to attend!
We are so excited to now offer Early Teen Week for the rising 9th and 10th grade student.
EARLY TEEN WEEK: We are adding a week of camp into our summer just for you, rising 9th and 10th graders! We realize that our previous middle school weeks and teen week had waiting lists and that there were students unable to get in to a Merriwood summer camp week. For this reason, we are adding Early Teen Week to alleviate the middle school week and teen week waiting lists.
Merriwood is intentional about age-specific programming as well as a graduated program, which means each age group, as they progress, get to do more, different activities, as well as experience more autonomy. This program is a step up from Middle School Week and a lead into our original Teen Week. but not
During this 6-day, 5 night program, campers will have the opportunity for positive, co-ed interaction. Campers will work together to analyze problems and situations, thereby establishing personal standards of conduct based on God’s Word. Highlights of the week include Wednesday Expedition Day, camper/staff games, the Thursday Event, and team competitions.
EARLY TEEN WEEK Expedition Day: Campers will choose from a day hike and picnic lunch at a local State Park OR a tubing on the river in Boone, NC. Hiking is an additional fee of $__. We are confident that our co-ed, residential, Teen Week will train campers how to live like Christ in their communities and encourage them in their faith as they face the year ahead.
Camp Store: MCC’s store will be open during at different times throughout the camp week as well as at drop off and pick up.
OVERNIGHT CAMP DETAILS will be available as time nears with more information concerning what to bring, dress code, camper/parent communication, online camp bank, online photo gallery, lost and found, and other policies.

EARLY TEEN WEEK:
GRADES: For rising 9th and 10th graders (rising 9th graders also have the option of attending middle school week instead). This will be the only week option for rising 10th graders.
DATES: June 23-28, 2025
ARRIVAL: Monday morning 10:00-11:00 am
DEPARTURE: Saturday morning, 9:30 am
RATES: TBD
EXPEDITION DAY: There will be an Expedition Day Option (off-site day) for the Step Up Week on Wednesday of that week. Options will be announced soon!

PAYMENTS: A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $75 is required to reserve your child’s space in a camp week. The remaining camp fees are due two months before your camp week begins. If you are unable to pay your balance two months prior to camp, please contact the registrar to request a payment extension.
REFUNDS/TRANSFER POLICY: Please check your school, sports, and personal calendar before registering for a camp week. Refunds will not be given to those who register for a camp week and then cancel due to a schedule conflict. If the reservation is canceled more than two months prior to the camp week, all fees paid other than the $75 deposit will be refunded. If the reservation is cancelled less than two months, but more than one month before the camp week, 50% of the fees paid will be refunded, less the $75 deposit. If the camp week is canceled less than one month prior to the camp week, no refund will be given. Some exceptions may be made if there is a medical emergency or a death in the immediate family. (Verification may be required before a refund is processed.) Final payments not made within one month of the start date will be assessed a $25 late fee and/or may result in forfeiting the camper’s space. Transfers from one week to another are allowed as long as space is available. A $25 Transfer Fee will be assessed. Camper cancelation insurance now available.
